A Graphtex membrane switch is comprised of one or more switch layers, separated by dielectric (resistive) coatings and adhesive spacer materials. When finger pressure is applied on a key location, the upper and lower traces form a conductive circuit, activating the switch. Optional features include EMI/RFI shielding, tactile keypad response, silicone rubber keypads, LEDs (SMD, leaded,) as well as alphanumeric or custom electroluminescent displays. Our switches can be combined with PCB’s, attached via connectors, or installed mechanically. All value-added services are done in-house and under highly controlled conditions.
Graphtex membrane switches are sealed against moisture, chemicals, solvents, particulate matter and gas, made to function per order as the application environment dictates. From sterile operating rooms to harsh industrial settings, our membrane switches often outlast the equipment with which they interface.
Our graphic overlays can be as simple or intricate as your end use dictates. We can provide clear, pigmented, or dead-front windows with an unlimited choice of typestyles and colors. Whatever your end use, Graphtex can suggest a membrane switch design that will remain appropriately decorative, ergonomic, and highly functional over years of use.
